Where it sits in the range
This is the depth option. The 6 × 9 in pouch is flat and slides beside a laptop; the 8 × 4 × 2.75 in case adds a combination lock; this one has no lock but five inches of height, which is the one thing the others cannot give you. If you want volume and a lock, go up to the Dime Bags duffle.
Honest limits
A carbon lining reduces odour. It does not make a case hermetic, and it saturates with use. Nothing carbon-lined holds a humidity level — for anything you are keeping rather than carrying, seal it in a jar with a 62% pack and put the jar in here.
